Terms and Conditions
The European Gemological Appraisals - "EGA" provided reports under the following terms and conditions.
The appraisal is not a recommendation of purchase, nor is it a guarantee that the valuation will result in a sale at that price.
It is for the customer’s use only for the purpose of indicating retail replacement value in order to obtain insurance coverage.
Any other use, such as for investment, renders the report and the value conclusion, null and void.
Identification and quality evaluation are based on the current gemological procedures and grading techniques of European Gemological Appraisals at the time of the appraisal. The value stated in this report represents the approximate cost to replace or recreate the gem or jewelry item as closely as possible. To determine this value, an analysis of current market prices for labor, materials, creative design, gemstones and precious metals is conducted, along with the cost of gemstone certification and preparation of the appraisal report. The appraisal takes into account varying prices at different marketing organizations and may vary based on many factors including type and condition of equipment, lighting and the skill and experience of the appraiser. All information in the report is approximate as the limitations of gemstone grading allow. The carat weight, clarity grade, color grade, and proportions of mounted gemstones can only be estimated. Appraisal value is based on current information only and contains no information regarding past or future value. There is no warranty or representation regarding this report.
European Gemological Appraisals (EGA) can provide this report for a relatively small fee only because of the following limitations on liability. EGA is not liable for loss, damage, (including special or consequential damages), expense, or error resulting from this report (even if caused by negligence or other fault). Any liability shall, in any event, never exceed the cost of producing the appraisal report. Where the appraisal report included accompanying data supplied to EGA, we do not guarantee the accuracy of this data.
EGA is an appraisal organization only, and does not engage in purchasing, selling, or brokerage. EGA has no interest past, present or future in the appraised item and does not agree to purchase or replace the item. Any report, trade mark, or logo of EGA may not be used for advertising or promotion, nor may it be reproduced without the express written permission of EGA.
The fee charged by EGA is for the performance of the appraisal only. Any additional services must be contracted for separately. .

For almost a century a special symbol of love has existed in Florence. Legend has it that if a couple attaches a padlock to the Ponte Vecchio and throws the key into the Arno River then their love will last forever. The romantic atmosphere of the bridge, together with the symbolic power of the padlock is perfect for creating a deep bond between two people. A bond that carries with it the image of the sun rising over the Arno River, the sound of stolen kisses in the shade of the day, the magic of the street lamps accompanying the night.
